Return to St. Nicholas Cemetery

After a Halloween nigth conversation with 2 other members, I concluded that a trip to St. Nicholas Cemetery in Weatherly is long over due. 

EPPRI is ALIVE!

EPPRI has officially regrouped. Well, we never really stopped, life just happened. But with clear schedules and clear minds, we are moving forward as a group.

Again, we are asking YOU for any information concerning paranormal activity in the NEPA area. Feel free to call or email us with any info.

EPPRI Update

I just wanted to let everyone know that EPPRI is still active and we will resume our investigations beginning the last week of July, 2011.  Without going into too many words, I will explain briefly about our hiatus.

First, we hit several dead ends on several cases we were contacted about, either we couldn't nail down a date to investigate or we could not get in touch with them again.  Also, personal schedules just weren't working out, all should be solved now.

Second, we are still trying to iron out a date for the Old Carbon County Prison investigation, however this is not free...  EPPRI as a group would have to pay a fee to conduct an investigation.  We're trying to crunch numbers and figure out our best way to act on this.

Third, several people contacted us about becoming members, sorry things kinda fell apart the last 6 weeks or so, if you're still interested, we are too..

And last..  I noticed alot of new faces following our site, if you are interested in joining us, please contact me...  Keep in mind, followers have NO official affiliation with EPPRI..

Thanks, and we're looking forward to getting back out and actively investigating again..

Newest Piece of Equipment

EPPRI now has a working Ghost Box, much like the device you've seen on Ghost Adventures..  What is it you ask?  Basically it's a modified hand-held radio that sweeps through stations allowing a spirit to communicate in real-time through the white noise.  I cannot wait to try this thing out...

Planning the return to the Old Carbon County Jail

Most of the members of EPPRI have already visited/investigated the Old Carbon County Jail in Jim Thorpe, and I am excited to announce that I've been in contact with the owners of the building for information concerning an investigation and from what I can tell, all looks well..

EPPRI is officially accepting membership applications

If you are interested joining EPPRI, please contact me so I can get you the required forms that need to filled out as part of our application process and I can provide you with meeting information.  Keep in mind that just because you are a follower of our site, doesn't mean we recognize you as a member, as anyone can follow our site.

Also, all new applicants are required to have the following pieces of equipment:

1. Digital Camera
2. Digital Voice Recorder

Any other equipment you have is a plus, but will not factor into our approval process...

Gettysburg

I will be making a trip to Gettysburg in June in efforts to try and document paranormal activity in the battlefield, specifically the area known as "Devil's Den".  All EPPRI members are invited to join me to cover as much ground as possible as this will be a 1 day event.

St. Nicholas Cemetery - Weatherly, PA

We investigated the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Weatherly earlier this month, and I am still analyzing the EVP's I caught on both my laptop and my digital voice recorder.  All I can say at this time, is that this place is definitely populated by intelligent spirits.  Once I complete my analysis, I will update this.

We've changed our name

After discovering there is another "E.P.P.S. Eastern Pennsylvania Paranormal Society", I've decided to change our name to Eastern Pennsylvania Paranormal Research & Investigations.  E.P.P.S. did not contact me and ask I change the name, I did it out of common courtesy when I came across them on another site.

Investigation 2: Lehighton Cemetery

Our second investigation lead us to the infamous Lehighton Cemetery on Fourth street in Lehighton, where I caught what we believe is an orb.  This place is known for being home to apparitions of the victims of the Gnaden Huetten Massacre, as well as other local legends.

Investigation 1: Bunker Hill Cemetery, Weissport

What drew us to investigate this location was based on several "rumors" or "legends" about this cemetery.  Also, growing up in the Franklin Twsp. area, I was quite familiar with it.  It's been said that a supposed witch was buried at the section of the cemetery in the photo above...
